Doug Barron won the Regions Tradition at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham over the weekend for his first major on the PGA Champions Tour. As is tradition at the tournament, the winner is given a green bicycle as part of the winnings.
Barron did not let any time go to waste, taking his new bike for a spin right on the course in an epic victory lap:

Barron, who has had quite the story, battling through injuries throughout his career, shot a 17-under 271 to claim victory over a fantastic field.
Steven Alker, Ernie Els, Stewart Cink, and defending champion Steve Stricker were all near the top of the leader board, but Barron was able to outlast them all via a 4-under Sunday performance to win.

“I have a good life. I don’t judge myself on my golf,” he said after his win. “If I did, I’d have a nervous breakdown, because my career’s been like a roller coaster. I judge myself on just trying to enjoy life, and this is just an honest-to-god bonus.”
