Alabama has seen Republican AL-02 candidate Jessica Taylor go viral twice already this primary cycle with separate video ads. Now, State Rep. Chris Pringle (R-Mobile), a candidate to succeed U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Fairhope) in the First Congressional District, has released a new ad that may very well do the same.
Pringle on Monday unveiled what will be his first television ad ahead of the March 3 primary. Entitled, “Perfect Place,” the ad starts out with Pringle speaking into the camera while holding a trowel amidst apparently laying wall blocks.
“I’m Chris Pringle. I know how to build walls, so in Washington, I’ll help President Trump build his,” he says. Pringle is a longtime general contractor, homebuilder and Realtor.
A narrator then remarks over b-roll of Pringle working on his “wall,” “Chris Pringle: A+ NRA, pro-life, big-time pro-Trump.”
“Walls protect us from America’s enemies,” Pringle adds, standing next to his wall and a wheelbarrow featuring one of his bumper stickers.
The camera then pans out to reveal the wall is in front of a mock version of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Capitol Hill office.
“And I have the perfect place for another,” Pringle continues as the camera lingers on the doorway to Pelosi’s office behind the wall. “I’m Chris Pringle, and I approve this message. Because I’ll build whatever wall it takes for America to stop illegal immigrants and stop these radical socialists.”
“Commies,” Pringle concludes under his breath, walking away as the nameplate on Pelosi’s door falls to the ground with an accompanying shattering noise.
Watch:
Pringle, who was endorsed by the Business Council of Alabama recently, is running in a competitive primary field that features former State Sen. Bill Hightower (R-Mobile) and Mobile County Commissioner Jerry Carl.
