The Alabama Crimson Tide throughout the year gives out a student-athlete of the week award, naming stars who are getting it done both on the field and in the classroom.
This week, freshman sensation wide receiver Ryan Williams of Saraland, Alabama, near Mobile, was among those to be named.
Williams was named along with rising redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Edric Hill as well as rising redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Roq Montgomery.
Achieving in the classroom is all the more impressive for Williams, who reclassified his final year of high school in order to arrive to college a year early and take the field for Alabama as just a 17-year old.

Taking the nation by storm despite his young age, Williams had nearly 900 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his first season at The Capstone, potentially ready to absolutely explode during his sophomore season.
We already knew Williams is getting it done on the field both during games and in practice, but seeing him excel off the field and in the classroom is nice to see as well.
