The Alabama Crimson Tide lost over the weekend to the Tennessee Volunteers in a complete offensive disaster, losing 26-10 and looking completely anemic on that side of the ball for most of the afternoon.
While things were not great in the first half by any means, they were a whole lot worse after the break and Alabama was shut out as the Volunteers took control. After scoring just three in the second half against Georgia last week, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb — the subject of serious hot seat chatter from the fan base over the weekend — said on Monday he knows this is unacceptable.
NEW: Alabama OC Ryan Grubb on the Crimson Tide being shut out in the second half in back-to-back games:
"Two weeks in a row with no points in the second half is pathetic."

“Two weeks in a row with no points in the second half is pathetic,” Grubb said in his Monday morning press conference. “It’s pathetic, you know, and so for us, it just starts with me and the staff, and especially me, and just finding ways to get guys in better positions.”
To his credit, Grubb did shoulder all of the blame and said it starts with him rather than pointing the finger at anyone else. Even then, it won’t bring a fanbase who is already prepared to blame him much solace in the way Alabama performed on Saturday afternoon.
Talk is one thing and being able to take responsibility is great, but Crimson Tide fans want the offense fixed, and they want it fixed quickly. With one more game this week against Texas A&M before a much-needed bye week, Alabama fans are going to be restless if things do not look better early in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
If struggles on offense continue, the blame will keep falling on Grubb, and the noise will only get louder.
