Watch: If Alabama Democrats want Martin Luther King, Jr. to have his own day, they need to be smarter about it

Most people don’t know this, but Alabama “celebrates” Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Robert E. Lee Day on the third Monday in January. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

A simple fix would be to move Lee’s day to his birthday (January 19) or to the next Monday, but State Representative Chris England (D-Tuscaloosa) wants to end it altogether, which seems unlikely.
