Nick Saban isn’t worried about Michigan’s sign stealing

The Michigan Wolverines found themselves entrenched in negative headlines throughout much of the college football season after a sign stealing scandal in Ann Arbor rocked the college football world.

The degree and sophistication to which it was going on and how different it was from regular activity within a program is still yet to be determined, but Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended for the final three games of the regular season as a result.

Despite this, Nick Saban says he isn’t concerned about changing up the signs specially for Michigan in the upcoming Rose Bowl matchup, and that this is something they do anyway for most weeks:

Asked directly if he is planning on doing something differently with the signs when facing Michigan after everything that has occurred this season, Saban responded:

“Not really. We always change things up a little bit. But we’re focused on what we have to do to try to get good execution. We’re not really concerned about any of that stuff.”

Whether it’s true or not, Saban says Alabama is not thinking about Michigan’s sign stealing and not doing anything out of the norm.

What is undoubtedly true is that Saban has his team focused on good execution rather than any other outside distractions, something that is a staple of the Nick Saban philosophy.
