Nick Saban’s foundation in Tuscaloosa, Nick’s Kids, has done some incredible things over the years.
But the latest might just be a favorite of Crimson Tide fans.
After the devastating tornado havoc on April 27th, 2011, Nick and Terry Saban pledged to sponsor Habitat for Humanity home for every national championship won by the school, which was at 18 upon Saban’s retirement.
A house was also built for the 2021 SEC Championship victory and the 2022 Sugar Bowl, but the “LANK House” has special meaning to Saban and last year’s team, commemorating the 2023 SEC title game victory.
Both Nick and Terry were on-site as the new home was commemorated and welcomed University of Alabama graduate Jinaka Chambers along with her son into their new home.
Previously, Alabama’s social media team posted video content of players on the team helping to build the house:

“I think everybody probably knows what LANK stands for – Let All Naysayers Know. That was kind of our team motto. I happened to say that in a team meeting after we didn’t play so well early in the season and the players kind of responded to it,” Nick Saban said Wednesday. “But I think this symbolizes – Let all naysayers know how much we can all do to help other people and have compassion for other people and help their quality of life. That’s something that we’ve always tried to do in Nick’s Kids and we certainly are proud of what everybody’s done to make this happen for Miss Chambers and Landon.”
Chambers, who works for the City of Tuscaloosa has contributed more than 250 hours of volunteer work to her house and now plans to purchase the house at a fair market value through a 30-year, zero percent interest mortgage.
She weighed in as well on just what the LANK House and contribution from coach Saban meant to her.
“It is very exciting. I am a huge Alabama fan and alumnus and I came [to Bama] in 2007 with Coach Saban. It means so much to me. It’s the last championship house and it’s very special. I love the team Jalen Milroe and Terrion for coming up with Lank,” Chambers said.
Miss Terry also thanked the players of the 2023 team for their hard work in winning an SEC title and allowing the house to be built.
“I would also like to thank our team who worked so hard last year to win the SEC championship and to be able to call this house the LANK House,” she said. “We are proud to give Miss Chambers and her son a beautiful and safe home in our community.”
