New money: Bryce Young signs for $37.95M

The wait is over.

Former Bama football star Bryce Young has signed his rookie contract with the Carolina Panthers.

Young is reportedly set to make as much as $37.95 million guaranteed from his new deal, with $24.6 million coming as a signing bonus.

However, the process was not without some anxiety for Panthers fans as Young was the last member of the team’s 2023 draft class to agree to terms. He now joins fellow rookies Jammie Robinson, Chandler Zavala, DJ Johnson, and Jonathan Mingo.

The former Alabama standout is a former Heisman Trophy winner. While at the university, he recorded 8,356 career passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns.

Young will begin his new job alongside Andy Dalton and Matt Corral.

Rookies are scheduled to report to training camp Saturday, with the Panthers’ first practice scheduled for Wednesday.
