Brian Kelly says he is using AI in order to better prepare for next coaching job

Brian Kelly’s rocky run at LSU may be over, but the veteran coach is already looking for his next opportunity — and he’s using artificial intelligence to help.

After an absolutely wild cycle that ended with the Tigers hiring Lane Kiffin, Kelly was left without a job when the carousel stopped spinning. While a generous buyout from LSU does not have him hurting for cash, it does seem he still wants to coach.

During an interview with Blake Toppmeyer of USA Today, Kelly spoke about the fact that he is still looking for the right opportunity, but the most interesting aspect may be how he is going about preparing himself for his next gig by using artificial intelligence.

“Every day, I’m trying to do my due diligence using Claude and AI, asking questions to build some of those answers that I think can be helpful for me as I get in front of an athletic director,” Kelly said in talking about how he is trying to evolve.

Whether or not he does get another shot at a major job remains to be seen, but it does go to show that even for veteran coaches, it is an entirely new world we are living in digitally, and even coaches are utilizing AI in order to get the best out of themselves and their teams.
