7. Tucker Carlson is done with Fox News and is ready to launch a show on Twitter. Carlson announced this with a 3-minute video declaring, “We’re back,” but Twitter CEO Elon Musk says there is no deal between the two parties.
6. Attorney General Steve Marshall is ready to start putting convicted murderers in the ground and up first is James Barber, who was convicted of the 2001 beating death of 75-year-old Dorothy Epps with a claw hammer. This will have to take place after June 2.
5. The Central Intelligence Agency was involved in approving a letter during the 2020 election, signed by 51 former intelligence officials, that claimed Hunter Biden’s very real laptop was part of a Russian disinformation ploy. It was not.
4. Today is totally the day that the Biden crime family will be exposed, according to U.S. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), but he isn’t sure the media will care. Comer claims Wednesday will be a “bad day” for Biden as bank records, ties to foreign nationals, and more will be revealed.
3. The Montgomery County GOP wants State Rep. Juandalynn Givan (D-Birmingham) to face censure for her ridiculous comments toward State Rep. Kenneth Paschal (R-Pelham). She is not happy. Perplexingly, reporters are coming to her defense because she didn’t actually say the n-word, just clearly referenced it.
2. Even after a tense meeting at the White House, President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy both say there has been little progress in debt-ceiling talks. Both of Alabama’s U.S. senators want Biden to negotiate with Republicans but his administration seems ready to assign blame for his failures.
1. Former President Donald Trump will appeal now that he has lost a case in civil court. A jury found he did not rape wannabe author E. Jean Carroll but did say he was liable for sexual battery, based on the same lack of evidence, and then defamed her by denying it. She was awarded $5 million, while the media was awarded the right to add “sexual batterer/abuser” to the names they call Donald Trump and will now pester all Republicans about it.
