7 Things: Shutdown looms with Ukraine and border at hand; impeachment inquiry starts; and more …

7. There was unanimous consent in the U.S. Senate to force U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) to put on proper clothes when performing the people’s business.

6. U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) says he has not decided whether he is running for U.S. House District 1, but he is holding a fundraiser with U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) in Montgomery.

5. As a Jacksonville State University professor attacked citizens questioning pornographic material in libraries, the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library is pausing its plan to relocate questionable books after complaints that the systems says are false.

4. Alabama’s Republicans in the U.S. House go after the leadership of the United States military over the decision to steal Space Command headquarters from Alabama.

3. The media and their Democrats (and compliant Republicans) demand that there be no impeachment inquiry but there is a hell of a lot of smoke. Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. James Comer has subpoenaed the bank records of the president and his crackhead son.

2. The sticking point for the government shutdown appears to be money for Ukraine and meaningful reform at the border with U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) laying out the problem, “Make no mistake this is a result of failed policies. We could fix this. We can’t throw money and fix it. We have to actually change the policies.”

1. Goldman Sachs now places the chance of a shutdown at 90%, seems low, but when it happens, government employees will go without pay but politicians will not.
