You never know what’s going to happen when the PGA Tour Champions comes to the Magic City for its first major of the year.
One fan found out just that when the seemingly impossible became possible. Charlie Wi, who has played professional golf since 1995, hit a shot on the 18th hole that would miss the green, but one fan got a very special surprise when the ball somehow ended up in his drink cup:

The fan showed Wi his cup and said that he had a surprise for the South Korean star, to which Li began laughing hysterically and said it was the best shot of the day.
Wi would take his drop and put the ball on the green, leading to a huge applause from the gallery.
He would go on to finish in a tie for sixth at 11-under, six shots behind the eventual winner Doug Barron.
Amazingly, Wi finished runner-up in five PGA Tour events throughout his career but was never able to win. He did have a legendary career on the Asian Tour, however, winning seven times.
He is, however, a top-25 on the Champions Tour, collecting $324,616 this year.
And now Wi has a memory from Birmingham that he will never forget.
