Alabama Crimson Tide fans now have an opportunity to be buried next to legendary head coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, as two cemetery plots have been listed for sale.
According to a listing on Facebook Marketplace by user Michael Fortson, two cemetery plots in Birmingham’s Elmwood Cemetery, just 50 yards from the resting place of legendary former Crimson Tide head coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, are available for $12,000. These plots offer the chance to be laid to rest near one of Alabama football’s most iconic figures.
Over his 25-year tenure with the University of Alabama, from 1958 to 1982, Bryant brought the team six national championships and thirteen SEC titles, a legacy that draws many fans to his final resting place each year to pay their respects.
The spot is in Lot 23, Block 37 of the Elmwood Cemetery, and the user who posted it asked users who might be interested to message him directly on Facebook.
