The Alabama Crimson Tide is coming off a heartbreaking defeat this week at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs, their first home loss to the Dawgs since 2007.
While fans are going to dwell on this one for a while, the team has to quickly turn the page and find a way to play better the next week, because things do not slow down in this league. With a trip to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers, it sounds like the Tide is going into the Third Saturday in October a little bit shorthanded.
While meeting with the media on Monday, head coach Kalen DeBoer revealed Alabama is likely not going to have star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams this week. He took a shot to the head which knocked him out of the game against Georgia and on top of that, is dealing with several lower extremity issues.
NEW: Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams is doubtful to play against Tennessee, Kalen DeBoer announced.
"Pretty good chance we wouldn't have him here this weekend. Probably be week-to-week after that."https://t.co/tPwaq8rC4v pic.twitter.com/oJ6s5d7zqA

On the season, Williams has 23 catches for 415 yards and four touchdowns – quietly having a very nice rebound year after a sophomore slump. If Alabama can get him back healthy for the stretch run of the campaign, he will unquestionably be a huge part of the offense down the stretch and continue to be a force opposing defenses have to plan for.
For now, it looks like he may be spending a couple weeks on the sideline and at least missing the upcoming showdown against Tennessee.
