Regions Bank offering financial services, assistance for disaster relief efforts

Individuals and entities across the Yellowhammer State have committed time and efforts to assist those impacted by the recent tornado outbreak that devastated communities throughout the South and Midwest last week.

Birmingham-based Regions Bank on Wednesday announced an array of financial services that it is offering to assist individuals and businesses in the impacted areas.

The Regions Foundation, the bank’s charitable arm, has committed $100,000 in grant funding for organizations that are assisting in disaster relief efforts.

Marta Self, executive director of the Regions Foundation, outlined the organization’s commitment to assisting those experiencing hardship.

“One of the greatest ways we can make an impact is by supporting the agencies that know these communities best and are ready to deliver vital support,” declared Self. “We appreciate the work of every relief agency, every first responder, and every community member who is working to make a difference, and we encourage other people, organizations, and businesses to consider ways they, too, can support the important relief work that’s underway.”

Additionally, Regions Bank associates who work at the bank’s locations across the Mid-South are actively collecting supplies for those in need.

Regions Bank is offering a series of disaster recovery services to individuals and businesses in the affected areas of Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri. The financial services institution advised that the special offers will be available for a limited period of time beginning December 16, 2021.

Services offered to qualified customers can be seen here.

Regions Bank also noted that the institution’s associates stood ready to provide customized services to those attempting to recover from the devastation.

Sharon Hightower, consumer banking regional executive for Regions Bank, spoke to the personal nature of the situation as many of the bank’s employees reside in the impacted areas.

“These are the communities where our teams live and work. These are the people and businesses we serve every day, and we will be here for them every step of the way,” said Hightower. “In addition to their local experience, our teams are backed by the strength of our entire organization at Regions Bank. We are all united in our commitment to supporting the recovery.”
