The Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball program and head coach Nate Oats have made a big move — both literally and figuratively — for next year’s roster.

Canadian center TJ St. Louis was added late for the class of 2026, announcing his commitment on social media. He will be eligible to play on the team this upcoming season and adds much needed frontcourt depth for the Crimson Tide.

St. Louis is not your typical high school recruit, playing his final high school season at Fort Erie International Academy in Ontario, Canada after spending time playing at NBA Academy Latin America. Though he is not ranked as a prospect, bringing in St. Louis gives Alabama something it has needed for years now, significant size and a potentially developmental piece at a position Nate Oats has struggled to get consistent production from over the years.

In addition to a strong transfer portal class, the Crimson Tide adds St. Louis to a top-five freshman class in the nation including two top-50 players in the country in Jaxon Richardson and Qayden Samuels.

While there are still a few months to go until the start of the season, Tide Hoops fans should be very excited at the roster Oats has built this offseason, and adding St. Louis is just the latest step there.
