The Auburn Tigers are beginning a new era this season under head coach Alex Golesh following some of the most lean years for the program in some time through the Bryan Harsin and Hugh Freeze eras.
Perhaps the biggest struggle for the last couple of seasons has been offense, especially for two coaches who had reputations as being gurus in that area before being hired at Auburn. Golesh, however, brings a brand of offense that is fast and fresh, aligned with the new age of college football and his quarterbacks have always put up huge numbers.
Golesh was asked about what fans can expect this season coming off the spring, and his answer should excite fans.
“It’s going to be a fun brand of football,” Golesh said. “I think it’ll be complimentary in the sense that what you saw hopefully was an aggressive approach on both sides….We’re so aggressive and multiple defensively; we’re so aggressive and multiple offensively.”
Golesh went on to state what they showed in the spring game was not a full indication due to not wanting to publicly put too much on tape, but he does seem confident that his program is going to be run in a way that fans will absolutely love to watch this season.
If he proves to be correct, Golesh will have a great chance of bringing winning back to The Plains.
