College GameDay coming to Tuscaloosa this weekend for huge showdown against Auburn

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers are two of the best teams in all of college basketball, and Saturday’s massive showdown in Tuscaloosa will be under some of the brightest lights of the season.

As if perhaps the biggest regular season matchup in history between the two teams couldn’t get any bigger, it was announced on Saturday that for the second straight year, College GameDay will be in town to preview the game and get a look at the Coleman Coliseum crowd first thing in the morning.

Admission is free and doors open to students at 7:30 a.m. CT and for the public at 8 a.m. CT with the show broadcasting from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ahead of the 3:00 afternoon game.

Auburn, currently ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation despite a loss over the weekend at home against Florida, has dominated opponents throughout the year and ripped their way through the beginning of their SEC schedule.

Alabama on the other hand has figured things out themselves and has climbed all the way to the No. 2 team in the country. After a home loss against Ole Miss early in conference play, the Tide rebounded and have found a way to avoid another SEC loss to this point, tied at the top with Auburn.

Saturday’s matchup will be a massive opportunity for both the Tigers and Tide to take command of the driver’s seat within the conference.

The high stakes get even higher with GameDay coming to town.
