TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. — Employees of Honda’s plant in Lincoln, Alabama near Talladega cheered as the first brand-new “redesigned and reimagined” Honda Pilot rolled off the assembly line Thursday.
“Today we celebrate the incredible dedication of our Alabama team to delivering an outstanding new Pilot that will set the course for others to follow,” said Jeff Tomko, president of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA). “I want to congratulate our associates for their unqualified commitment to building a new Pilot of the highest quality that exceeds the expectations of our customers.”

Completely designed, developed, and built in the United States, HMA representatives say the Honda Pilot is now equipped with “more advanced technology and premium features than ever before.”
The Pilot makes up about a third of the The Lincoln plant’s annual output. Also built at the factory are the Honda Odyssey minivan and the Acura MDX SUV.
Last year Alabama’s Honda operations built 363,419 vehicles, helping to set a new state record for the number of automobiles assembled in the state.
Over the past three years, HMA has added more than 450 new jobs as they’ve increased production in the Yellowhammer State, bringing their total number of employees in Alabama to over 4,000.
