According to a news release sent statewide today, the Home Builders Association of Alabama announced its endorsement of Barry Moore in the upcoming June 16 head-to-head GOP runoff for U.S. Senate.

The group initially backed Attorney General Steve Marshall during the primary, as did the Alabama Farmers Federation.

They cited Moore’s strong record of “supporting Alabama’s builders, small businesses, and pro-growth economic policies.”

“Barry Moore is a proven leader with roots in the homebuilding industry,” says Jim Matthews, First Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Alabama. “We feel confident in his abilities to serve our state and our small businesses.”

Throughout his time in Congress, Barry has worked to cut burdensome regulations, push back on rising costs driven by federal overreach, and support policies that make it easier for builders to deliver affordable housing to Alabama families.

“I’m honored to have the support of the Home Builders Association of Alabama,” said Moore.

“Alabama’s builders play a critical role in driving our economy and helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. In the Senate, I’ll keep fighting to cut red tape, lower costs, and ensure our builders have the freedom to do what they do best – build and grow our communities. We need to get Washington out of the way so Alabama can keep building.”

The GOP runoff between Moore and former U.S. Navy SEAL Jared Hudson is set for Tuesday, June 16.
