Alabama receives crystal ball to land No. 1 running back in nation

The Alabama Crimson Tide could be landing the best running back in the country for the class of 2025 very soon. Akylin Dear, who just last week backed off his commitment to Ole Miss, has been crystal balled to select Alabama coming off a visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend.

Dear is rated as 247’s No. 1 running back in the nation and would join a class that already includes the No. 4 running back in Montgomery’s Anthony Rogers.

Dear is a Quitman, Mississippi native who is the No. 2 player in the state. Both Dear and the No. 1 player in Mississippi, wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, have been widely predicted to select Alabama.

Both elite players from the neighboring state at one point looked like either Ole Miss or Mississippi State locks, but Kalen DeBoer has broken the border down and stealing elite talent right out of his competition’s own backyard.

Things are starting to look very special on the recruiting trail in Tuscaloosa.
