The Alabama Farmers Federation on Thursday released its 12th slate of endorsements for candidates seeking election to the state legislature.
ALFA’s preferred candidates seeking public office are selected by a vote of its membership and endorsed through FarmPAC, its political arm.
The reelection campaigns of State Reps. Kelvin Lawrence (D-Hayneville) and Ralph Howard (D-Greensboro) have been endorsed by FarmPAC. The federation also endorsed State Rep. Mike Jones’ (R-Andalusia) bid for Senate District 31.
The following non-legislative officeholders now hold an official endorsement from FarmPAC:
- Lance Bell for Senate District 11
- David Cole for House District 10
- Matt Woods for House District 13
- Donna Givens for House District 64
- Frances Holk-Jones for House District 95
ALFA in October announced its first and second strings of legislative endorsements, followed by its third, fourth and fifth rounds of endorsements in November. In December, the federation released its sixth, seventh and eighth rounds of endorsements. ALFA last month made public its ninth and 10th strings of legislative endorsements, followed by its 11th round last week.
In September of last year, ALFA officially endorsed its preferred slate of candidates seeking election to federal and statewide offices.
