7 Things: Redistricting for Alabama (probably not) after awesome Supreme Court ruling, Democrats flip on redistricting, and more…

7. Space Command is real now, after Gen. Stephen Whiting, Commander of U.S. Space Command, cut the ribbon on their new location at Redstone Arsenal, signalling that Space Command is now home in Alabama.

6. The fight over data centers is heating up with Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin trying to squash a Nebius data center project, and a data center proposed in Bessemer is getting larger, while trade groups are encouraging open communication between data center developers and local communities so they can keep getting built, as the worm has largely turned on the projects.

5. Cullman County Sheriff and PSC candidate Matt Gentry received a $25,000 donation from a gas station owner who allegedly has illegal gambling machines in the back room, which is pretty concerning given the illegality of those machines.

4. State Rep. Ernie Yarbrough (R-Trinity) criticized the Alabama Education Association’s existing teacher union payroll deductions for funding left-wing causes to the tune of 600 million dollars, calling it a “classic example of bait and switch.”

3. Iran talks remain in limbo as President Donald Trump warns Iran to stop the war before more damage is done to their economy and militarily, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth explained that if Iran does not make a deal regarding nuclear materials, then further military action will commence.

2. The media and their Democrats now hate redistricting, seemingly forgetting where they stood as Virginia openly gerrymandered, after a Supreme Court ruling that now opens the door for more redistricting nationwide, the fear from the Left is hilariously palpable.

1. A lot of Alabama politicos are calling for redistricting to take out both U.S. Reps. Shomari Figures (D-Montgomery) and Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham), who are both endorsed by an indicted terrorist-supporting group, but it seems unlikely the state can pull it off right now, as Governor Kay Ivey thinks the state is still bound by other rulings, despite calls from Attorney General Steve Marshall to get it done.
