7 Things: Everyone is pretending Biden/Trump debate is set; Birmingham has issues; and more …

7. Athens police clarified that their investigation into the altercation involving ALGOP and Trump campaign volunteer Tara Johnson showed “no indication” of it being a politically motivated attack, contrary to the Alabama Republican Party’s initial claims, but it was violent and caused injury. The incident, described as a road rage encounter, occurred when Johnson’s husband honked and flashed his lights at another driver who ran a stop sign, leading to a confrontation where both women exchanged words and physical blows, with neither seeking medical treatment or pressing charges.

6. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her use of profanity during a speech and for her perceived inaction on border security saying, “We have not heard her give one speech about that or about how we can secure our homeland and keep people safe. She’s more interested in putting out the left’s woke agenda, and we’re seeing that obviously yesterday as well.” Britt expressed disdain for Harris’ conduct and questioned her effectiveness as the “border czar,” asserting that Harris has failed to address border issues and has focused more on promoting the left’s agenda.

5. U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville and other allies of former President Donald Trump appearing in New York City is obviously a huge problem for the media because they need Trump to sit in a jail cell at some point for political reasons. So they must declare that all the support by the of politicians and potential vice presidential picks NEEDS to be part of a coordinated scheme to avert the gag order. Tuberville (R-Auburn) gave MSNBC, CNN, and everyone else the ammo they believed needed by merely saying he attended the trial to support Trump and voice opposition to the gag order imposed by Judge Juan Merchan, while arguing that the trial is unfairly biased against Trump, so the media and their Democrats ran with it.

4. Support for former President Donald Trump came from an interesting place when Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), someone who would not be called a Trump ally, criticized President Joe Biden for not pardoning Trump and calling for New York to drop charges against him. Romney said, “Had I been President Biden, when the Justice Department brought on indictments, I would have immediately pardoned him. Because it makes me, President Biden, the big guy and the person I pardoned a little guy.”

3. Inflation is slowing down but the White House and the media are missing the point as always, some might believe intentionally, by suggesting that prices are going to go down but that is not true because all it means is prices are going up more slowly. With inflation at 3.4%, it is still far higher than when President Joe Biden took office despite what he says and the White House decided they should support more government spending, giveaways, and tariffs.

2. The city of Birmingham has a crime problem and a leadership problem, both of these problems are leading the city toward a solution that will not only not work on crime but it will get people hurt as they unveil a plan for volunteer forcer of roughly 200 citizens volunteering to patrol the worst parts of the city. The volunteers will be “trained,” have no arrest powers, no weapons, and cars with green lights on them which will surely be respected and not targeted.

1. The Presidential debates are set according, to the media. President Joe Biden is throwing down the gauntlet, but not really because the pre-conditions from the Biden campaign include things like there no live audience, mute mics after time expires, and control over which media outlets can host to CNN, ABC, CBS, or Telemundo. While these debates seem unlikely with these rules, the Biden’s campaign also cuts out the Commission on Presidential Debates, which Republicans have criticized for years for being biased toward Democrats.
