Winners announced in ‘Billboard King’s’ contest

Three winners of the “Design an Alexander Shunnarah Billboard” contest have been announced, beating out 275 creative designs that were submitted to Birmingham-based Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys between Oct. 1 – 30 from all over the nation.

First place winner was Madison Wilson, 16, from Auburn. She received a $1,000 VISA gift card and her design, which she titled “State Your Claim” as a play on words for the personal injury claims attorney and his significance as the best attorney in the state, will be featured on one of Alexander Shunnarah’s digital billboards.

Brianna Bryant, 25, from Hoover, won second place with her “Call me AL” billboard design, honing in on Alexander Shunnarah’s iconic branding while introducing a new font. Brianna won a $500 VISA gift card and a Shunnarah Swag pack.

The third place prize went to Santoria Dunlap, 17, from Dothan. She won a $250 VISA gift card, along with a Shunnarah Swag pack, for her “Fight for Justice” creation.

The Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys team, including the “Billboard King” himself, were greatly impressed with the three winners, who rose to the top of nearly 300 talented competitors, ranging in age from seven to 82.

“I am absolutely amazed by the talent and creativity in all of these billboard designs,” said Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys president and CEO, Alexander Shunnarah. “Looking through each of these designs, I was blown away by every applicant’s hard work. I appreciate the time and thought each of the participants put into this design competition!”

Founded in 2001 by Alexander Shunnarah, the nationwide law firm invited the public to design a new look for the many iconic billboards featured throughout the southeast. According to contest rules, submissions were to be “Big, Bold and Impactful.”
