U.S. Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) and Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) are once again pointing to the hypocrisy from the radical left Democrats when it comes to requiring some kind of identification to vote.

The senators have both been strong proponents of the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to become a registered voter, and a form of ID to actually vote in American elections.

The voter ID bill has faced strong pushback from Democrats, including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

“In Mamdani’s America, you don’t need to provide proof of ID to vote, but you do just to shop at government-run grocery stores,” Britt said on X. “Pass the SAVE America Act.”

Mamdani recently announced a plan to open five city-owned  grocery stores, one in each borough, which will offer a 30% discount on essential staple foods. The mayor said you will need an ID to shop at the store.

“Mamdani’s taxpayer-funded grocery stores will require an ID to enter, yet he and every other Communist Democrat scream that voter ID is racist,” Tuberville said. “What a complete joke.”
