U.S. Customs and Border Protection will host a multi-day recruitment event in Birmingham next month, offering job seekers a chance to explore career opportunities and potential hiring incentives.
The event is scheduled for May 5–7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CT) at the Alabama Works Birmingham Career Center, located at 3216 4th Ave S in Birmingham.
According to the announcement, attendees will be able to learn about career pathways, explore federal employment benefits, and speak with recruiters about available positions.
Officials say the event will also highlight incentives of up to $60,000 for eligible applicants.
The recruitment effort is part of a broader push to attract candidates interested in careers with the federal agency, which is responsible for border security, trade enforcement, and immigration operations.
Event organizers encourage individuals to attend and learn more about opportunities, emphasizing that a career with the agency offers “rewards far beyond great benefits.”
