President Donald Trump reiterated his support for U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) to be Alabama’s next U.S. Senator today — multiple times, in a way.
Trump issued his “complete and total endorsement” of the congressman in February, but now less than two weeks from the May 19 primary election, reminded voters of his support.
“Barry Moore, running for United States Senate in the GREAT State of Alabama, one of my all time favorites, is a Fantastic guy and a totally reliable MAGA Warrior!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He has my Complete and Total Endorsement – He will never let you down. Win, Barry, Win! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Trump initially posted that Moore was running for reelection to the House before correcting the post to reflect his Senate bid.
A recent Cygnal poll commissioned by Alabama Daily News had Moore leading with 23%, followed by Jared Hudson at 19% and Attorney General Steve Marshall at 14%, with about 40% of voters still undecided.
Moore thanked Trump for the continuing support of his campaign.
“Grateful to President Trump for his unwavering support in our race for the U.S. Senate,” Moore said. “I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race with the president’s complete and total endorsement. I’ve stood with him since day one, and he’s standing with us as we run through the tape on May 19!”
