Tonight’s Iron Bowl of Basketball features a top-20 matchup between Alabama and Auburn for the first time since 1987.
The magnitude of the game is not lost on ticket sellers, reflected by the ticket prices just to get into Neville Arena.
On TicketMaster, the cheapest tickets available currently is $300 before fees for a single ticket, and $337 each if you want to buy two tickets.
With the seating capacity at 9,121, the exclusivity and scarcity of tickets drive up the prices, especially for Auburn’s biggest games.
When Alabama and Auburn played two weeks ago in Tuscaloosa’s Coleman Coliseum, where the capacity is 15,383, ticket prices were still steep (well over $100 for most seats), but the market climbs to a new level at Auburn.
Currently, Alabama sits at 8-1 in the conference and in first place, while Auburn is a game back at 7-2.
Alabama is going for its fourth straight win over Auburn, having swept the Tigers last season and winning two weeks ago in Coleman Coliseum.
Tipoff is 6 p.m. and the game can be viewed on ESPN2.
