‘Stagecraft’: Aderholt, Carl slam Biden’s attacks on ‘MAGA Republicans’

In a primetime address Thursday, President Joe Biden declared “equality and democracy” were “under assault” by opponents of his administration.

The speech saw Biden ramp up his rhetoric against “MAGA Republicans,” a block of conservatives he recently claimed were embracing “semi-fascism.”

Standing in front of a glowing red backdrop at Independence Hall in Philadelphia with two Marines at attention, the president suggested that “MAGA forces” sought to take the nation “backwards.”

“MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards,” said Biden. “Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.”

In reaction to Biden’s heightened attacks against supporters of former President Donald Trump, U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) slammed the president over his rhetoric.

“While illegal immigrants pour across our open southern border and Americans struggle to fill their gas tanks and put food on the table, President Biden’s top priority is attacking President Trump and the millions of people who support him,” said Carl. “He has no accomplishments to stand on, so he chooses to distract the American people from the crises he has created.”

“On the campaign trail, then-candidate Joe Biden promised to be a real leader and not blame others when things go wrong. Unfortunately, the president’s speech tonight proved he totally lacks the ability to be a leader and move America forward. Americans deserve strong, unifying leadership, but Joe Biden has utterly failed to do his job.”

According to U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville), Biden utilized “stagecraft” and “misdirection” to conceal his administration’s woes.
