Members of Alabama’s Republican Congressional delegation are using Tax Day to promote the bigger refunds coming to most Americans due to the Trump tax cuts.

Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut was passed by Congress and signed by the President earlier this year. The average taxpayer in Alabama will see a tax cut of $2,843.

“On this Tax Day, one thing is clear — Republicans kept their promise to hardworking Americans,” Said U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery). “By passing the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, we prevented the largest tax hike in history and delivered historic relief to working families by putting more money back into their pockets.”

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) said, “It’s Tax Day, and many families in Alabama are feeling relief due to President Trump’s tax cuts for working families!”

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said, “We are focused on making sure hardworking Americans get to keep more of what they earn. This Tax Day, the American people are seeing results!”

U.S. Reps. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), Dale Strong (R-Huntsville), and Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) all highlighted that there is now no taxes on tips and overtime, while also promoting the child tax credit.
