Saban brings back a familiar motivational tool after late season losses

Winning three out of four BCS National Championships is already a distant memory in the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately atmosphere that surrounds University of Alabama football.

Complacency has been the Alabama coaching staff’s biggest concern going into the last several seasons. But thanks to a two-game loosing streak at the end of the 2013 campaign, Coach Saban will have a different motivational tool at his disposal in 2014 — the agony of defeat.

No SEC Championship and no BCS Title means it’s time for a change in Tuscaloosa. Alabama players are currently being reminded of that every time they walk into their locker room.

“If you continue to do the same thing that you have always done,” a poster in every player’s locker proclaims, “you will get the same result. Guaranteed. 0-2”

Bama Poster

The poster are reminiscent of the “Never Again” posters seen hanging in the Bama locker room after Auburn rallied back from a 24-0 deficit to beat Alabama 28-27 in the 2010 Iron Bowl.

Never Again

Alabama bounced back after the “Never Again” year to win the BCS Championship the following season. Do you think it will it work again?
