While it may take some getting used to, Nick Saban is officially a member of the media.
The legendary former Alabama head coach took the desk in Dublin this morning for the first College GameDay broadcast of the season with the ‘week zero’ slate of games being played on Saturday afternoon.
Saban and the rest of the GameDay crew spent a large amount of time discussing college football as a whole and who could have strong seasons as well as who could compete for a national championship.
When it comes to predictions for the teams in the state that he coached and lived in for so long, Saban had interesting thoughts on each.
He predicted Auburn to be the most improved team in the SEC as his colleague Kirk Herbstreit named some of the reasons for an improved season from the Tigers:

As for Alabama, Saban included the Crimson Tide in his official 12-team playoff prediction as the No. 7 seed taking on No. 10 Notre Dame, a game that would be played at Bryant-Denny Stadium if Saban’s predictions were to come to fruition.

Also of note is the fact that Saban had Georgia as the SEC champions and earning the No. 1 seed in the field. He would go on to state that someone has to prove they can beat Georgia, given that his Crimson Tide teams are the only ones to accomplish the feat in the last three seasons.
Get used to seeing Saban on your screens from the desk on Saturdays, as today was just the beginning.
