Mobile’s bowl game, now known as the 68 Ventures Bowl, is set and will see matchups between the Arkansas State Red Wolves of the Sun Belt and the Bowling Green Falcons of the MAC.
The game has gone by a few different names over the years, beginning as the Mobile Alabama Bowl (1999-2000), a long stint as the GMAC Bowl (2001-2009), memorably as the GoDaddy.com Bowl until 2015, briefly as the Dollar General Bowl (2016-2018), and finally, the LendingTree Bowl from 2019-2022 before settling on the 68 Ventures Bowl for the last two years.
68 Ventures is a Gulf Coast-based investment company, and in last year’s first edition of the game, South Alabama destroyed Eastern Michigan while playing in their home stadium.
As for the two teams, both enter the game with 7-5 records. The Falcons will be looking to looking to secure their sixth bowl victory in program history while the Red Wolves will be looking for their fifth.
The game will be played the day after Christmas on December 26 at 8:00 p.m. CST.
