Former Alabama superstar and Heisman winning running back Derrick Henry will be playing for a new team for the first time in his NFL career.
On early Tuesday afternoon, Henry, 30, inked a two-year, $16 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens which can be worth up to $20 million via incentives and includes at least $9 million in guaranteed money.
Henry, who was selected in the 2nd round of the 2016 NFL Draft, has spent eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans and has been among the best running backs in football during that span.
Twice in his NFL career has Henry won the rushing title along with four pro-bowl appearances. He’s coming off a nearly 1,200 yard, 12 touchdown season after rushing for over 1,500 yards in 2022.

Henry’s 2015 season at Alabama will forever live in Crimson Tide lore. The all-world running back took home the Heisman, the Doak Walker Award, the Walter Camp Award, and being unanimously named All-American as well as leading Alabama to a national championship.
In 395 attempts, Henry rushed for over 2,200 yards along with 28 touchdowns including a 158 yard, 3 touchdown performance to defeat Clemson for the national title.
It remains to be seen how much Henry has left in the tank, but the Ravens are at the least getting one of the most decorated NFL players of the past decade at a position of need.
