Former Yea Alabama content director Robert Aaron Suttles is back in jail after a judge revoked his bond.
Robert Aaron Suttles, 49, was arrested on July 23 and released on a $1,000 bond on charges of soliciting prostitution in an operation conducted by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force.
That bond was revoked after Suttles was arrested once again two days later by Homewood Police on a DUI charge. This led prosecutors to file to revoke Suttles’ bond on August 13, and five days later a Shelby County district judge granted that request.
According to a story from WBRC, Suttles’ attorneys have filed to request the judge to reinstate his original bond following Suttles turning himself in this week hours after learning of the revoking.
Suttles, who also spent a number of years covering the Alabama Crimson Tide for The Tuscaloosa News and The Athletic before moving into a role with the University’s NIL collective, is no longer listed on the Yea Alabama staff page.
He is held without bond currently pending a hearing according to the judge’s ruling. A hearing date has not yet been scheduled.
