Coach Nick Saban — who first became involved with Mercedes-Benz by heading up a Birmingham dealership in 2014 — has obviously made massive amounts of money in the coaching profession. However, it could be his involvement in the car business that soon propels him into the top echelon of wealth in the United States.

Forbes Magazine recently did a profile on Saban’s main Mercedes partner, Joe Agresti, giving readers an inside look into the man who has helped the legendary coach grow his net worth even further. Together, Saban and Agresti have formed Dream Motor Group, whose profits have crept annually into the billions.

Agresti himself has become a billionaire, and according to the article, Saban may not be far away from accomplishing the same feat. As one of the most recognizable faces in the South partnered up with the most powerful automobile mogul in the region, it makes sense that Saban’s various dealerships are raking in the dough.

“Coach and I get deals left and right because of our connections,” Agresti told Forbes. “Right now we’re at our all-time biggest—all our chips are on the table.”

Originally from New Jersey, Agresti built his empire by scraping together seed money for a stake in a Baton Rouge Mercedes dealership. After impressive sales at the location, the higher-ups in the company allowed him to open a Houston store as well.

When Saban began considering entering the car business in the early 2010s, he told Forbes that Agresti was the only person he interviewed as a potential partner. Now, especially that Saban is done coaching, the duo speaks multiple times a day about ideas for both present and future locations.
