Chickasaw police chief suspended, apologizes for social media ‘behavior’

One South Alabama town has its third police department leader reprimanded within the past two years. WALA reports that Chickasaw Mayor Barry Broadhead has suspended interim Police Chief Tommie McDuffie over inappropriate social media postings. McDuffie has issued a public apology and will be suspended for three days.

“This isn’t the first time controversy has centered around the city’s police chief. Back in June, former Chief Keith Miller was fired by the city council, after only being on the job for a little over a year,” WALA reported. The reason behind that firing has still yet to be released by officials.
