Auburn Tigers legend Charles Barkley has become one of the most popular media personalities in sports, and this was shown once again by the fact that he cracked the elite guest list for the star-studded wedding of pop icon Taylor Swift and NFL superstar Travis Kelce.
Barkley joined Unfiltered With Ricky Bo & Bill Colarulo and was asked whether or not he made the cut, and to the surprise of the hosts, the Inside the NBA broadcaster revealed he did get the invite — but they were even more shocked to learned he turned the invite down.

“I did [get the invite],” Barkley said. “I don’t go to weddings, I don’t go to weddings or funerals. But I did get an invite and I politely declined because I thought it was gonna be a crap show. I love Travis and Jason [Kelce] and I’ve only met Taylor one time…I did get an invite but I said that’s just too much. I just wanna hang out and play golf, I don’t want to dress up and all that other stuff. But I appreciate the invitation it was pretty special.”
It’s safe to say Barkley wouldn’t have lost any sleep over it if he did not get the invite, but it does just go to show once again the celebrity status that has been reached by the Auburn great.
