A candidate for Alabama’s newly-drawn 2nd Congressional district picked up an endorsement that’s close to home for her. Caroleene Dobson, who says she’s running for Congress for “Alabama’s families, farms, and fundamental values,” grew up on her family’s multi-generational cattle farm.
On Friday, The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), a group on the forefront of advocacy for cattle producers across the United States, announced its endorsement of Dobson.
“Caroleene Dobson’s legal experience combined with a lifetime of ties to the agricultural community make her a strong advocate for America’s farming future,” the NCBA said. “She represents the advocacy and integrity that the NCBA holds in high regard.”

The group, representing more than 175,000 cattle producers and feeders, said Dobson’s election to Congress will ensure “the protection of the rural values that are the foundation of American society.”
Dobson said the endorsement is an important one to her.
“As a member of Congress, I will continue to fight for our families, our farms, and our faith and preserve the bedrock values and moral backbone that have made our nation the greatest ever known,” Dobson added.

Dobson is a member of the Alabama Forestry Commission, is active in the Birmingham chapter of the Federalist Society, and serves on the board of the Southeastern Livestock Exposition, which has sponsored Montgomery’s annual rodeo competition since 1958.
She and her husband, Bobby, have two daughters, Philippa and Lydia.
