Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has a simple message to those who are thinking about committing election fraud: Violate the law and you will be prosecuted.
“As Election Day approaches, let me make one thing abundantly clear: violations of Alabama’s election laws will not be tolerated in any corner of this state,” Marshall said Friday. “My office continues to receive and investigate tips concerning allegations of voter fraud and ballot harvesting.”

Marshall has made it a top priority of his administration to fight against any election fraud occurring in the state, including announcing earlier this month that his office is investigating allegations of voter fraud in Clarke County.
“We are working alongside the Secretary of State’s office, and know that we are watching closely,” Marshall continued. “Anyone who seeks to undermine the integrity of Alabama’s elections should be prepared to face the consequences.”
Secretary of State Wes Allen has made steps against voter fraud this year as well. Earlier this year he announced that his office had identified 186 noncitizens illegally registered to vote in Alabama, including 25 individuals who unlawfully voted in prior elections.
The Republican nominee for Secretary of State, Caroleene Dobson, has been campaigning on the need to create an Election Security Division within the Secretary of State’s Office.
