Barber Motorsports Park is expanding beyond motorsports this fall with the launch of a new artificial intelligence conference that aims to bring together Alabama business leaders, technology professionals and innovators ahead of one of the state’s premier racing weekends.
According to Barber Motorsports Park, the inaugural DRIVE AI presented by KEYSYS will serve as the official kickoff to the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama race weekend.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 24 from 1-3 p.m. at Barber Motorsports Park and will focus on how organizations are using artificial intelligence to improve operations, drive growth and prepare for the future. Organizers said the conference is designed for executives and professionals across a variety of industries while providing opportunities to connect with business and community leaders.
KEYSYS, a Vestavia Hills-based software engineering and AI company, is presenting the event. The conference also kicks off the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama benefiting Teal Wings of Hope, which returns to Barber Motorsports Park Sept. 25-27.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into everyday business operations, organizers say the event is intended to provide practical examples of how companies are putting the technology to work rather than simply discussing future possibilities.
“Artificial intelligence is no longer a future concept – it’s a business reality that is transforming industries at an unprecedented pace,” said George Dennis, President of ZOOM Motorsports. “DRIVE AI is designed to spark meaningful conversations, share practical insights and create connections among leaders who are navigating this rapidly changing landscape. We’re excited to bring this experience to Birmingham and showcase Barber Motorsports Park as a destination not only for world-class racing, but also for innovation and thought leadership.”
According to Barber Motorsports Park, the program will feature an expert-led AI case study and panel discussion examining how organizations are implementing artificial intelligence in real-world settings. Attendees will also receive networking opportunities, appetizers and beverages, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes garage tour.
Each $80 ticket includes admission to DRIVE AI, the AI case study and panel discussion, networking opportunities, the garage tour, and a Sunday General Admission and Garage Pass for the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama race weekend. A portion of every ticket purchase will also benefit Teal Wings of Hope.
Organizers said DRIVE AI reflects Barber Motorsports Park’s continued effort to create experiences that extend beyond motorsports by bringing together leaders from across industries to discuss innovation, technology and economic growth. Tickets are available at BarberRacingEvents.com.
