BamaCarry endorses Jared Hudson for U.S. Senate: ‘He is going there to fight’

BamaCarry, Alabama’s leading gun rights organization, endorsed former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson for U.S. Senate on Sunday, giving gun owners what it called “a clear choice” in the Republican primary two days before the May 19 election.

“Jared Hudson is not some poll-tested politician pretending to understand the Second Amendment,” said Taylor Rhodes, Executive Vice President of BamaCarry. “He has carried a gun for a living, served this country as a Navy SEAL, and worked in law enforcement. He understands firsthand why the right to keep and bear arms matters, and he is not going to Washington to manage the decline of our rights. He is going there to fight.”

BamaCarry partnered with the National Association for Gun Rights to review candidate survey results. Hudson earned a 100% pro-gun rating. The organization said it is the only gun rights group to endorse in the Republican Senate primary.

Hudson’s firearms credentials run deeper than most candidates in any race. He is a current law enforcement officer in Alabama, CEO of Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit that combats human trafficking, and holds a Federal Firearms License with a Class III SOT.

If elected, he would be the only sitting U.S. Senator who is a federally licensed firearms dealer.

“This endorsement is not about political convenience. It is about trust,” Rhodes said. “Alabama gun owners needed a clear choice in this primary, and now they have one. BamaCarry is proud to endorse Jared Hudson because we believe he will fight for gun owners in Washington and will not flinch, fold, or sell us out when the pressure comes.”

Hudson faces U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), who holds President Trump’s endorsement, and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall in the Republican primary.

The primary election is May 19.
