Auburn officially signs five-star quarterback Deuce Knight

The Auburn Tigers have officially signed five-star quarterback Deuce Knight on National Signing Day after flipping Knight from Notre Dame back in October.

The Lucedale, Mississippi native is rated by 247 composite rankings as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation behind just Bryce Underwood (Michigan), Keelon Russell (Michigan), and Tavien St. Clair (Ohio State).

Standing at nearly 6-foot-5, Knight is a strong-armed lefty who is also a duel threat and can make magic happen with his legs.

Based on 247 rankings, Knight is the highest rated high school quarterback that Auburn has signed in program history.

Much has been made about the possibility of Auburn going into the transfer portal this offseason for a quarterback, but Knight will have a chance to try to push for the job as a true freshman.

Walker White, a four-star from last year’s class, will also have his say in the battle along with a potential portal addition. But what seems unquestioned is the fact that Knight is going to eventually be Auburn’s starting quarterback.
