7 Things: Murder charges, arrests in Dadeville; Hunter Biden/IRS whistleblower emerges; and more …

7. Much was made of Disney’s brilliant “checkmate” of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ move to strip the House of Mouse of its protected status. Unsurprisingly, much of that was overblown and the state of Florida has punched back and is undoing this scheme, as former President Donald Trump sides with Disney much like his son sided with Bud Light.

6. Looking to get a new mortgage and have a good credit score? Too bad, President Biden wants to cost you on average $500 a year to cover the loans of riskier borrowers. Those who put down big down payments will get hit the most.

5. Alabama’s freshman U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) is the most popular first term senator in the country with a net positive rating of 27% in her home state. President Joe Biden wishes he were as popular, his disapproval rate in the state is sitting at 66%.

4. Democrat U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) joins with Alabama’s Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) and his plan to stop the Department of Defense from surpassing Congress and doing whatever the hell it wants on abortion. Manchin tweeted, “Let me be clear: the VA’s current policy is a blatant violation of federal law.”

3. The chaos on the border is real and U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R- Monrovia) has seen plenty of it in less than 100 days. He is not happy about it, telling Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, “Over the last two years, Americans have watched as this administration has rolled back successful border policies, instead choosing chaos at the southern border.”

2. Whistleblower complaint is filed in IRS/DOJ investigation into Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s crackhead son, world traveler, and leading family grifter. The complainant says the IRS has info that shows false testimony to Congress by political appointees (AG?), conflicts of interests, preferential treatment, and how politics have infected the process.

1. Three people have been arrested for the Sweet 16 birthday party shooting in Dadeville. Ty Reik McCullough (17), Travis McCullough (16), and Wilson Hill Jr. (20) have all been charged with 4 counts of reckless murder. District Attorney Mike Segrest has requested no bond for the alleged killers. More charges are coming.
