7 Things: Gambling chat still looms large; Liz Cheney questions Tuberville’s motives on holds; and more …

7. President Joe Biden’s border policy is a joke, things are only getting worse, and now military families are being forced to cancel their plans for the Army-Navy game in Boston after illegal immigrants were given their rooms. U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) called out the Biden administration in a letter saying, “It’s clear: these cancellations are due to your administration’s decision to ship illegal immigrants across the country to sanctuary cities at taxpayers’ expense.”

6. In a move that is sure to rile Alabama fans, Trump sides with Florida State University, as does Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, but Trump also blames DeSantis for FSU not making the College Football Playoff. Paul Finebaum, the legendary sports talk show host with Alabama ties, says the College Football Playoff Committee got it right and people need to “shut up already” about it, he however discussed it on multiple shows over the last few days.

5. U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) is calling out Big Tech and their censorship of the pro-life movement. At issue is the fact that Google took the step to remove a pregnancy center from Google Maps and instead sent people to a nearby Planned Parenthood clinic. Big Tech’s censorship is nothing new but it is always shocking to learn how far these companies go to silence people they disagree with.

4. A pretty clear case of police brutality by an officer with the Reform Police Department in Pickens County has been caught on video. A police officer has a fentanyl trafficking suspect face down on the hood of a car when she retrieves a firearm from his pocket and then stuns him as he is seemingly cooperating.

3. The White House is denouncing clearly anti-Semitic protests that are being held around the country, specifically focusing on a pro-Hamas mob converging on a Jewish-owned restaurant in Philadelphia accusing the owners of genocide but this is hardly the only instance of this kind of behavior on the streets of American, on Capitol Hill, in the media, in classrooms, and on college campuses are seeing this vileness as well.

2. During the latest media fawning over former U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) as she tries, and will likely fail, to sell her book she is suggesting that America is heading towards a dictatorship if former President Donald Trump were to win the presidency. She is also claiming, baselessly, that U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is holding up military promotions in order to give them the Trump if he wins, “Is he holding those positions open so that Donald Trump can fill them?”

1.Alabama seems ready to roll the dice, once again, on gambling but the outcome is still uncertain, with lottery, slot machines, electronic bingo, or full-on casino gaming allegedly on the table. State Rep. Andy Whitt (R-Harvest) lays out the issues with gambling pretty well, “From the recent overdose death at an illegal Walker County gaming operation, to the multimillion-dollar sports betting ring in the Birmingham area, illegal gaming is impacting every county within our state.”
