7. Mickey Mouse’s reign in jeopardy
- “The House of Mouse” may fall and their kingdom could be no more. They were usurped by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the largest example of the phrase, “Go woke, go broke” we have seen yet.
- The new law strips the corporate giant’s special status and puts them under the control of a government board, takes away their ability to build nuke plants and airports, forces them to pay more taxes for services, and makes it clear that there will be no special benefits for a company that attacks over half of the nation’s citizens.
6. Trump is suggesting Ron DeSantis is a pedophile because he isn’t totally scared, is totally secure, and totally knows he is going to win
- Proving he is his own worst enemy, once again, former President Donald Trump is now implying that his chief rival Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is a pedophile in a sad attempt to damage him. This is a desperate and sad ploy with no upside.
- On a totally unrelated note, DeSantis’ unveiled a proposal for improving ethics in media and holding people accountable for lying, saying during the announcement, “When you smear somebody, you know it’s false, and you didn’t do your homework, you’re gonna have to be held accountable for that.”
5. Britt declares national debt is unsustainable
- The national debt is continuing to grow, although not as fast as President Joe Biden wants, it is completely unsustainable and U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) wants a debt ceiling negotiation to actually focus on the issue.
- Sen. Britt joined “Kudlow” host Larry Kudlow on Fox Business and told him, “We have got to find a way to get to a balanced budget, to put in the appropriate spending caps and to roll back spending,” adding, “You know, we have to remember that this money is not ours. This is taxpayers’ money. And it is best served when it is back in their pockets.”
4. ALGOP chairman says bring on school choice
- Teachers are asking kids for their sexuality, race, and gender, some schools are claiming they have no choice but to remove books from classrooms. Other schools are letting drag queens teach classes after being exposed for making sexual comments to kids. “REAL school choice” advocates are saying, “thank you for the help.”
- ALGOP Chairman John Wahl is the leader of a party where the members overwhelmingly support “REAL school choice,” but the super-majority Republican Legislature in Alabama seems rather cool to the idea as a whole. Wahl says it is time,” The people of Alabama deserve better, our parents deserve better, and especially our children deserve better. So that’s going to be a major target for the party this coming session. Can we pass a school choice bill and hopefully other legislation that will improve education here in Alabama for both private schools and public schools?”
3. Huntsville City Councilman Devyn Keith is arrested again, yes, he allegedly shoplifted
- Four warrants for multiple thefts at multiple Walmarts in multiple city council districts have been issued for Huntsville City Councilman Devyn Keith. Madison County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Brent Patterson believed Keith will turn himself in, “We believe Mr. Keith will do the right thing,” while talking about a guy who is literally under investigation for multiple thefts.
- He did turn himself in Tuesday morning. Keith’s integrity issues are well known, but this has shocked his supporters because they didn’t want to see what was obvious. After his arrest, he allowed his supporters to pretend he had been a victim of Walmart, the police, politics, or a mistake, he knew he was busted and let those stories stand.
2. Americans have already had it with Biden
- Leading up to the State of the Union address last night, a new poll was released showing that President Joe Biden’s approval rating is still very low. Worse for Biden, as he pretends the economy is booming, Americans are not buying it – only 18% think their finances are better because of Biden, 21% think he is making illegal immigration issues better, and 19% of people actually think Biden is making political divisions better. Those are the signs of utter failure.
- While Americans bailing on this disaster is not a surprise, Democrats have apparently have had enough in large numbers, as well. Polls released this week, show that nearly 60% of Democrats are done with him and want someone else, during an election, many will vote for him but enthusiasm and turnout will suffer.
1. The State of the Union is a disaster filled with lies
- President Joe Biden gave as good of a speech as you would expect with his record on the issues on the table. Predictably, Biden declared that the state of the union was “strong,” when no one believes that.
- Truthfully, the state of the union is drowning in lies. Biden ignored the Chinese spy balloon and his classified document scandals, while he lied about the economy, China, the border, racism, jobs, spending, Social Security, the debt ceiling, the deficit, taxes, gas prices, inflation, Medicare, and his dad.
