BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Yellowhammer Multimedia CEO Cliff Sims announced on Wednesday that the company’s content brand, Yellowhammer News, is on pace to average approximately 2 million unique visitors in the fourth quarter of 2014, and now has over 100,000 subscribers to its daily email blast.

“The remarkable growth we are experiencing can be attributed to the hard work of our small but growing team,” said Sims. “Our staff is relentlessly committed to delivering the most up-to-date and relevant news and information on issues that impact Alabamians, whether it’s related to politics, business, sports, faith or culture. Our goal has always been to reflect the values of our readers. The more we’ve done that, the more people around the state have turned to Yellowhammer as their most trusted source of daily news and information.”

Sims said one of the most remarkable statistics in the site’s 4th quarter of 2014 numbers is that it reached millions of readers while publishing a relatively small number of articles.

“Yellowhammer has published less than 400 articles this quarter, but the reach of each post has been significant,” he said. “It’s important for people to know that when they click a Yellowhammer link, it’s going to be high quality journalism, and probably something they’ll want to share with their friends. We have plans to drastically increase the volume and diversify the type of content that we’re producing, but we’re always going to maintain that level of quality.”

In 2014, Yellowhammer News and its writers have been featured on Fox News, Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports, The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Daily Mail, The Drudge Report, CNN, The Daily Caller, The Huffington Post, Breitbart News, the Laura Ingraham Show and numerous other national and international media outlets.
