Watch Roll Tide Willie get the team fired up at Alabama’s spring practice

The Alabama Crimson Tide is in the midst of a new era under head coach Kalen DeBoer while also being in the thick of spring practice.

Among the new for the Tide under DeBoer seems to be how practices have changed. From playing music, to having recruits at practice, all the way now to having special guests allowed at practice.

Roll Tide Willie is an icon in the Alabama fanbase, first coming to prominence over the years with his beer review videos and catch phrases including not giving “a piss” about ‘nothing but the Tide’ and ‘Blitz Bama Blitz!’

Willie has had the opportunity to attend numerous Alabama athletic events including basketball games and the recruitment of Ryan Williams, but now Willie got the chance to pop out to spring practice, speak to the team, and even call a play.

While addressing the team after practice, he led the group in a ‘Don’t give a piss’ and ‘Blitz Bama Blitz’ chant, but Willie’s highlight may have been new defensive coordinator Kane Wommack asking Willie what play he wants to run.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Willie screamed with as much passion as humanly possible that the call would be ‘BLITZ BAMA BLITZ’, to which Wommack obliged and called in the play.
