The Auburn Tigers men’s basketball program had an absolutely massive accomplishment on Sunday evening when they won the South regional title of the NCAA Tournament to advance to just their second-ever Final Four in program history, both under head coach Bruce Pearl.
After Pearl took his Tigers to the Final Four in 2019 and suffered a devastating defeat in the semifinal, his teams had not been back even as far as the Sweet Sixteen prior to this year.
With the No. 1 overall seed and considered one of if not the best team in the nation, Auburn had immense pressure to get back to the biggest stage in the sport, and they did just that with a largely dominant showing over their region which eventually ended in them cutting the nets down in Atlanta.
On Sunday night, the team returned home to Auburn before they travel to San Antonio later this week and were greeted by scores of fans who were still up partying at Toomer’s Corner and the players got to join in on the fun:

Auburn will face off against the Florida Gators who defeated them in The Jungle in early February after for just the second time in the history of the NCAA Tournament the Final Four is occupied by four No. 1 seeds.
The Tigers take on the Gators this coming Saturday, April 5 at 5:09 p.m. CST on CBS.
